Managing Director and one of the founding Principals of Monumental Venture Partners, LLC (MVP). Chief Financial Officer of Riverbend Capital Management, LLC. Board member and Audit Committee Chairman of Digital Sandbox, Inc. MVP is a venture capital firm that manages a portfolio of early stage, high growth companies in the technology industry. Riverbend is a private equity firm that has invested in international companies promoting and/or developing green energy. As the partner responsible for overseeing finances for portfolio companies, Mr. Dettmar monitors operations, introduces financial resources to the various firms, and reviews strategy with them for future opportunities.

 

Chris Dettmar has served in senior management positions either as a CFO or COO with both private and public companies for the past 27 years. He has significant experience with start-up entities, investment firms, international organizations, and high growth companies. He has been an integral part of raising capital for a number of growing companies where he has been employed including Infodata Systems (public offering), Encompass, Inc. (private equity raise), the Hunter Companies (merger), and Creative Management Systems (acquisition by Cincinnati Bell, Inc.). He has also been responsible for merger and acquisition activity, all back office operations, financial strategy, reporting, budgeting and investor relations. Prior to this, he helped clients with financial, accounting, and information system issues as a consultant and manager for Price Waterhouse & Co.

 

Mr. Dettmar holds a BS from the University of Virginia, an MBA from the Pennsylvania State University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
